Reaching official Unicode encoding is a journey that requires both technical preparation and strong community evidence. There is also an important intermediate milestone: UCSUR registration — the Under-ConScript Unicode Registry, which is a recognized registry for scripts in the PUA. Registering Yapiri there establishes our codepoints formally, resolves any conflicts with other PUA scripts, and creates a publicly documented record of the script's existence and scope. It is a meaningful step that prepares the ground for a full Unicode proposal.

We are currently focused on the first two phases: building real, living adoption within the Kokborok-speaking community and completing the UCSUR registration that formally establishes our place in the PUA.
